BUCKINGHAMSHIRE WEDDING AND FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER
RELAXED, JOYFUL AND BEAUTIFULLY YOU - PHOTOGRAPHY THAT'S BRIMMING WITH THE GOOD STUFF
Hi, I’m Kirsteen, I’m a Buckinghamshire wedding and family photographer based near Milton Keynes. I work across Bucks, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, and further afield, specialising in candid documentary photography. This means I love to capture beautiful, natural moments when you forget there’s a camera near you.
Whether I’m taking wedding photographs or a family photoshoot, my friendly and relaxed approach is the same. You get on with having a wonderful time with your loved ones, and I’ll photograph you doing just that. By capturing you being you, the photographs are genuine, natural and beautifully real. They are full of warmth, energy and connection. To me, these are always the best photographs. The ones that capture real moments, real families and real love.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQs
You can find the answer to lots of wedding photography questions right here!
How many photos will I receive?
With my Full Day package, you'll receive a minimum of 600 edited photos, but probably even more. If it’s a lovely photo, I want you to have it! For my main events package you'll receive upwards of 500 images. I love the timelessness of black and white photography too so I always include a collection of black and white images as well.
When will I receive my photos?
You will receive your online gallery about 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding. I’ll send a little preview gallery within a week or two so you have some beauties to share.
What camera equipment do you do you use?
On your wedding day, I’ll be using 2 full frame Canon camera bodies (plus I have an additional back up Canon camera). I also have numerous lenses, batteries, and heaps of memory cards. Among my favourites are the 70-200mm f/2..8L - great for capturing moments from afar - and a 50mm f1.4 art lens, perfect for portaits and detail shots. I also have a wide lens 18 - 35mm which is great for group shots and full scene images and various prime lenses to capture all aspects of your wedding story. If there was a technical hitch with any of my lenses or cameras, I have quality back up equipment to continue shooting seamlessly. From my portfolio, you'll see I love natural light but I'll also use on camera flash in low light where there's lots of movement like when the party is in full swing on the dance floor!
How would you describe your photography style?
As your wedding photographer, for around 80% of the day I'll be taking a documentary approach, capturing your day as it happens and those fabulous natural moments that are full of atmosphere, warmth and joy. The other 20% of the day will include couples portraits (also relaxed and natural in style); group photos, as well as detail photographs. All of this combines to creatively tell the story of your wonderful day.
Have you photographed my venue before?
I’ve photographed church weddings, marquee weddings, rustic barn weddings, registry office weddings, city weddings, country weddings, hotel weddings, farm weddings, even a wedding day in a zoo! If I’ve not photographed your venue, it’s likely I will have photographed one similar in vibe and style to it.
Some lovely venues I've photographed in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire include
The Great Barn at Aynho, Dodford Manor, Dodmoor House, The Dairy at Waddesdon, Notley Abbey, Chicheley Hall, Missenden Abbey, Horwood House, Crockwell Farm, Furtho Manor Farm, The Five Arrows, Park Farm, Huntsmill farm, A Winters Tale Barn, Barton Hall, Raven Hall Hotel, and many more.
It’s exciting to shoot at new venues too. I always arrive in plenty of time to do a recce and check out the picturesque backdrops and liaise with wedding co-ordinators to get to know the venue.
Do you do Group shots?
Yes – I’m more than happy to. The group photos don’t need to take long – a few minutes per photo so it won’t eat too much into your day. But those photos of your families, all dressed up, standing next to each other will be even more precious years down the line. Before the wedding, I'll also talk you through a few organisational tips that will help them run smoothly.
Do you offer wedding albums?
Yes, I offer albums, you can order one at the time of booking or add one on later on. Albums are beautiful quality from a UK supplier using archival inks and papers that last a lifetime.
Do you offer a second photographer?
Yes, I can offer a trusted second photographer as an add-on. Most weddings I work alone and that way I can build up the story of your wedding day as it flows. If you're having a very large wedding, we can talk through bringing on a second photographer.
Are you insured?
I am insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurances. I can forward certificates to your venue as required in the run up to your wedding.
How does payment work?
A deposit of £300 is required to secure your date. The remaining balance payment is due a month before your wedding or if you prefer, you can pay it in instalments.
How do we book?
If I’m available for your wedding date, please return your booking form. I’ll then send you my wedding agreement with details for the deposit. And that’s it, you’re booked! We’ll then chat again in the run up to the wedding to talk through the final plans and timings and feel free to contact me with any questions. I'm more than happy to do a mini shoot / engagement shoot too so you get a feel for being behind the camera.
